Portfolio Camp with Matthew Miller: June 4-8, 2012: 10-4PM Daily

An intensive 5 day camp designed for ten high school juniors, seniors and incoming college freshmen to create a professional portfolio set ready for colleges, careers and clients. Participants accepted into Portfolio Camp will have the opportunity to:

• Develop a professional artist statement.
• Collaborate with a professional photographer for digital recording of your works.
• Create a digital portfolio with methods of proper formatting and preparation for print.
• Hand craft your portfolio for unique and outstanding presentation.
• Have your portfolio reviewed by college and professional reviews with Georgia State, SCAD, Portfolio Center, Creative Circus, and Atlanta Art Institute.
• Develop interviewing strategies with Deloitte.
• Learn about scholarship opportunities.

Portfolio Camp will primarily take place at The Goat Farm, the home of One Love Generation.  Students applying should have a minimum of 25 works in a variety of mediums including at least ten strong finished works in various mediums and sketches/sketchbooks.

Dear 30 Artists,

I wanted to express our deepest gratitude for your participation in the 30 Artists | 30 Days event. I can’t express in words the sense of honor it was to have such an incredible group of artists participate in the project and fundraiser. When I first read the list of registered names that had signed up for this project, I was in disbelief….it really tugs the heart strings to know that all of you wanted to “pay it forward” in a sense to the younger generation of artists in Atlanta (watch out for your future competition). Thank you all for contributing your time & work to the event, it raised $5,000 for the program!

We work out of the Goat Farm (B-11) every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening through the APS school calendar and have a few day camps we’re planning for the summer. We are always looking for artists to bring in at all commitment levels. We welcome visiting artists for one-time lectures, short & long-term projects, year-long mentoring commitments, etc. We are always seeking new opportunities to share w/ our teens and the art world….please email us if you have an idea & want to get the teens involved. I hope to stay in touch with all of you and thank you again from the bottom of my heart.  I hope you enjoyed the experience & hope to work with you again soon.

Event: 30 Artists in 30 Days Silent Auction
About: Each day in March (1-30), a different artist as listed below has created live work in the Sam Flax store.  The 31st will be an exhibition and silent auction for each piece of work.  Bidding starts at $100 for each piece of work and will close at 10PM.
